Filmmakers/Crew Info Production notes We really had a wonderful team come together for our film. Many of whom shared a personal connection to the piece. Some have been professionals for years like our Emmy Award winning editor, Manny Martinez. Also, actress Patty Weaver who is currently on the U.S soap opera, "The Young and the Restless" and has been for 22 years. Due to the kindness of strangers, this film was shot in an elegant Beverly Hills home in California. The owners shared a strong belief in the script as well. I initially researched the hospice process both in Santa Barbara and in Hawaii, meeting with social workers, nurses, chaplains, volunteers, and patients. The dying patients were open and kind to speak with me on their last days. I found they were true role models in how to LIVE LIFE. They also shared many lessons in how they are bravely dealing with pain, loss, and dying. This research experience was absolutely transformational. I will never forget the statement I heard from a Santa Barbara social worker stating, "the way you live -- is the way you die". More production notes soon! |
